Baby Diapers Safe and best

WE HAVE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH ON DIAPERS IN INDIAN MARKET.

WE WILL GIVE A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ALL DIAPERS AVAILABLE AND BEST OFFERS.

Diaper Rash
Diaper rash is a sort of skin inflammation that is
pretty common in babies. You will know that your infant is suffering from a diaper rash when you find that there is a reddish patch on the thighs or near the pubic area of the little one. Once you are aware that these are common occurrences, you can take measures to prevent them from occurring and also think of effective remedies so that the little one does not suffer much.

Actually these are quite normal and go away naturally within a few weeks automatically/applying ointment or gel to be applied locally. These patches may appear on the other parts of the body as well.

Reasons of the rash
(i) If the skin gets rubbed.
(ii) If you leave a wet diaper for a longer period, that is, if the diaper is not changed timely, rashes occur.
(iii) Rashes can be a result of either bacterial or yeast infection.
(iv) The baby’s skin might simply be allergic to the diaper. In such cases, you need to know the exact cause and plan some other suitable alternatives.
(v) He is having diarrhoea.
(vi) Has just begun to eat solid food.
(vii) If the mother or the baby is taking antibiotics.
(viii) Most babies of the age of eight to ten months are more likely to suffer from diaper rash.

Treatment of Diaper Rash

(i) The main rule is to check the diaper very often, whether or not it needs to be changed. Ensure that it is changed when it gets soiled or wet without delay.
(ii) Always use plain water to wash the thighs, bums and pubic area of the baby. Use mild soap only for washing off the stool.
(iii) Do not rub the thighs, bums and pubic area even if it is with a soft cloth. Try to dry the area by patting it dry as you clean it.
(iv) If the baby is already suffering from diaper rash, use wipes that are mild. Wipes that contain alcohol or are fragrant can be harsh on the sensitive skin of the baby and irritate it further. A soft washcloth is a better alternative.
(v) Before you put on a fresh diaper, make sure that the area is fully clean and dry.
(vi) The other best alternative to allow the rashes to heal is to allow the baby to go completely diaper-free for a few days. This will air out the bottom and help the skin to heal faster. Make sure that you keep the area free just after the infant has had his bowel movement.

Disposable diapers or washable nappies ?

In India traditionally we are using the cloth diapers( also known as langote) which is certainly attractive to parents who are concerned about their kids.

Disposable packeted diapers are more convenient, but their production requires petroleum (a nonrenewable resource) and miles of forest lumber.

Cloth diapers cost a lot less (one diaper can be reused about 75 times). During cleaning, lots of water (about 50 gallons

per diaper load) and energy are consumed. However we know from our grandmas that cloth dipers caused lesser rashes.

Diaper Changing Tips

When to Change a Diaper In the first couple of months, you may find yourself changing diapers up to 10 times in 24 hours.

Diapers should be changed whenever they are wet or soiled. Your baby will often (but not always) let you know.

Here are some common times for changing diapers:

  1. Right before or right after every feeding
  2. After every bowel movement
  3. Before bedtime
  4. When your baby wakes up
  5. When you go out with your baby

Wiping baby bottoms
Have a supply of baby wipes or clean wet tissues handy while changing diapers to help keep your baby clean and fresh.

For baby girls, while changing diapers always wipe from front to back to minimize the amount of stool material that gets near her genitals. Also, be careful to clean all areas, as the folds in the skin around her genitals can hide urine and soil.

If your baby has diaper rash, clean the entire diapered area gently but thoroughly with a baby wipe or a clean wet tissue.

It is also helpful to allow air to reach the skin. Talk to your pediatrician or pharmacist if the rash does not improve.

Finding the right size
Just like you, babies like to wear things that fit just right. Choose a size that does not sag or gap, even as your baby crawls and plays. This will help prevent leaks. Each product description on this site gives guidelines that represent the average weight for a particular size. And remember, when you move up a size, you gain absorbency.
